  • Awesome Professional Exterior Painting

About 18 months ago, our family bought our first home in Naples. We had been living in a three bedroom apartment but it was tiny.

For us, a little extra space was important and we also wanted a little bit of room around the house. Hearing the neighbor sneeze in the next apartment is no longer an issue for us. We have a little more than an acre and a house that isn’t attached to a bunch of other units. Buying our home in Naples was the realization of our American dream. Besides, our kids could finally run around on land that we own and without the potential for the drug addicts dropping needles and the like on the ground. Unfortunately, the house looked a bit shabby, but the bones were all good.

Although the interior paint scheme was pretty darn garish, we decided to start on the outside. I mean, my parents always taught me that first impressions are lasting ones. So, we decided to make the outside of the house look as pleasant as possible for the neighborhood. It was vacant for a while, so I’m sure you know what I mean when I say that it needed quite a bit of TLC.

Anyway, I knew that the exterior painting project would be way out of our league. As a kid, I painted ceramics in summer camp, but that’s the extent of my painting experience. As for my husband, he isn’t handy at all. He actually struggled when he tried to tighten the cabinet pulls in the kitchen. I could only imagine the disaster that would occur if hubby tried doing the exterior painting on our new Naples house.

Although we collected stacks of paint colors from a host of home improvement and paint stores, we were still at a loss when it came to selecting a paint color. So, we decided it would probably be a good idea to hire a company that specializes in exterior painting in Naples. I’m so glad that we did. They were even helpful with the paint colors. We decided to go with a sandy color that had a hint of yellow in it. Instead of stark white trim, we went with an eggshell color. The combination worked out well.

The painting contractors got to my house bright and early in the morning, and started working right away. They took great care not to get any paint on the windows, or even on the concrete pad surrounding the house. Not only did the painting contractors at Expo Painting do a great job, but they were very professional as well. My house now looks better than any other home in my Naples neighborhood. The next step will be interior painting.
